On paper the Patriots look very tough, but that is why they play the games. We will have to wait and see!!

Well as a realistic Patriots fan, I think the team that has the best chance from the NFC are:
1. Bears
2. Cowboys
3. Saints/Eagles (I only say Eagles in the same sentence as the Saints because of the possibility of a healthy McNabb and their stout defense healthy again; if not I'd say put the Eagles at #4)
As for in the AFC:
1. Colts
2. Chargers
3. Broncos

first of all the pats will have no coverage if asante samuel holds out which he will they have old LB's with the exception of adalius thomas also if randy doesn't work out there recieving core will drop alot the only other true good #1 or #2 reciever other then randy is donte stallworth who is very good but the other recievers are iffy so I have two teams that I think will beat the pats first indy but indy is not going to superbowl because that d still sucks and the other I believe the jets will beat the pats during regular seaon and maybe even playoffs No nfc team will beat the pats because the NFC is the little brother in the NFL

First off, you Pansies are in the AFC....not the NFC. I wouldn't worry about the NFC anyway, as you won't be making it out of the AFC. Secondly, you better prepare yourselves for the FOURTH consecutive loss to the Indianapolis Colts. Like Bobby Knight said, if it's inevitable....relax and enjoy it.

Barring injury, the Pats have to be the consensus choice for winning Super Bowl XLII. They have had one of the best off seasons in recent memory. However, I believe the Colts, Chargers and Steelers may have something to say about that.
As far as the NFC, there are likely ten teams capable of winning over there, but none would be, on paper at this point, capable of beating any of the top four in the AFC.
That is the funny thing about football though. It is a long season. Say, for example, Tom Brady gets hurt. Or LaDainan Tomlinson gets one of those nagging injuries in camp that plagues him throughout the season. Or say that Tony Rome turns out to be more Troy Aikman than Gary Hogeboom...
Things can happen, but based on right now, the Pats are my choice.

As crazy as this sound, if you go look at their roster, the Lions could beat the Pats. Last year the Lions almost upset them in NE. Now the Lions are going to be 10 times better than they were last year. And all the pats did, was get over the hill ,Randy Moss. Before you talk crap, go look at the Lions roster and coaching staff. Study hard their RB's, WR's, but most of all, look at the MAMMOTH offensive line they now have. Look at the DL, LB's as well, this Lions team is going to hurt some poeple. In football, the war is won in the trenches. And the Lions have the BEEF and talent in that department on both sides of the ball to rule there. As far as Kitna goes, this is going to be his year, you watch. With all that size and talent on that offense, a monkey could score on every drive at QB!
If you big shots think I'm crazy, I'll bet you $100 Lions win the NFC north, and another $100 they win at least one playoff game. Give me 4 to 1, I'll put another $100 on them winning the Superbowl. geraldcalloway@yahoo.com, send me a email, put your money where your mouth is if you think you know better. But I'll warn you one last time, go look at their roster, this team is going to CRUSH some teams this year.
Remember this, EVERY DOG EVENTUALLY HAS HIS DAY!
You can take that to the bank, just as I am this year!
And for you fantsy football guys, remember you heard it from me. The Lions offense will be #1 this year.
Come on I'm waiting. Put your money where your mouth is, becuase I am, and I'm calling all of you out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Or all of you a bunch of chickenshi%s??????

Well first of all the bears will be tough again......ANd I expect the Saints to build off of last year and be really tough.....And in the AFC you have the defending champion Colts and the Chargers........I see those four teams as battling it out in the playoffs but you never know.....Every year is a new year.........Pats did have a really good offseason probably the best along with the niners and broncos...

Colts, Chargers, Saints, Eagles...
The Patriots are as overrated as Michael Vick's QB skills.

You can always count on the Miami Dolphins to give them a loss. Just look back at the past few seasons.
I think this years champs will come out of the N.F.C. Keep an eye on the Seattle Seahawks.
In the A.F.C. watch out for San Diego and Cincinnati.
