Well in school we had one for a pet and we had to feed it crickets every week

P.S you can buy a dozen of crickets at some pet stores or if your feeling up to it go outside and catch some. The tarantula would probably eat any bugs but if your not sure about that try the crickets

Good Luck hope my suggestion works for you

Insects. Pet tarantulas are usually fed crickets or mealworms - they like live prey.

In the wild they will pretty much jump on any creature that passes their way and is small enough to tackle. For large tarantulas this can include mice and small birds.

Spiders ingest their prey by paralysing with their venom and then using enzymes to digest and absorb the creature.

Try giving them crickets. They can be bought at some pet stores or at bait shops.
