Does anybody know any girl bands or girl duos? I only know Paramore, Aly and AJ, and The Veronicas.

All of these bands have one or more girls in them, either singing or playing instruments. If you want to know more, I would look at underground bands. Women are starting to become a common thing in the Rock 'N Roll scene more than ever.

Hi MSS, In my opinion the best female band of all time was the Runaways-check out the songs 'Neon Angels On The Road To Ruin' & 'Queens Of Noise' for proof-all of their albums are great. Their lead guitarist Lita Ford was extremely talented & could today have easily been up there alongside Page, Schenker & Clapton but unfortunately followed the mediocre 80s glam path to obscurity.
Heart was another excellent female led band that swapped innovation for radio-friendly garbage in the 80s. Other good wholly or partly female bands are A Taste Of Honey, The Eyeliners, Shonen Knife, Madam X & Shampoo. Shampoo are just bubble gum music really but lots of fun anyway!

Try Cat Power. It's just one girl, but she has some great songs. Also the Noisettes (a british rock band with are girl front person) are pretty good. You also might like the Ettes (an all girl punk band).

Paramore isnt really a girl band..just a band with a girl frontwoman. but anyways you dont need to know anymore because Paramore beats all of the bands in this world

Electrelane just put out a pretty good album.
Also The Long Blondes new one is good (although I suppose they aren't really an all girl band -- two girls and two guys).

Personally, I don't care for any of those. But Le Tigre is a really cool band. They're like... Lesbian feminists and have crazy lyrics. One reason I love them. If you want something new, try them.
