Do you get more cramps when it should have been the time due for you period. If so, how long did it last for.Was it the same amount of painfulness as if you had your period? Thank you.

I am starting to lightly bleed and it would have been the time for when my period was due. I am 9 weeks now and I saw my doc today which said it's ok to bleed as long as it doesn't get heavy. But the cramps are getting very painful. I use to get terrible period pain before I was pregnant.Do you think this pain will pass like period pain does? I have had the pain for the last 4 hours but the bleeding is still light. Please help.

Here is my experience, I hope that it helps! I spotted at 5weeks, then 3 times more.... The last time was 16 weeks and it was a good proper bleed!! Each time I flipped out! I had no cramping or pain, my cervix was closed... All of my blood levels normal and each time baby was ok with heartbeat. The ER docs tried to figure it out to no avail... My OB did all kinds of tests and ultrasounds only to come up with the conclusion that all was well. She explained it just may be "sloughing" or, nothing at all. Unless you have painful cramps, heavy bleeding (enough to fill a pad in an hour), bleeding with blood clots or bleeding with a fever, I would try not to worry. Some women just spot during early pregnancy! If you have any of the above symptoms go to the ER immediately! I know it's hard but any time I stressed about it, it just got worse! The only thing my OB told me not to do was have sex until 12 weeks. After that when I bled at 16 weeks, I was told not to have sex for 3 weeks. Other then that, just try to take it easy!
Very Best Wishes!

I found at 6 weeks i was prego. I had HORRIBLE pains about a week after i found out i was prego. felt like i was going to die. hurt that bad. so i was scared i was losing my baby and went to the E.R I had an ultrasound and the whole bit, and they said i was fine. it was just my body changing etc. it lasted for maybe 2 weeks. I use to get bad pains before i was prego too. I never had the bleeding though. But I know that as long as it is light bleeding that is indeed normal. some women get a light period all through their entire pegnancy. Anyway, if you DO feel like you need to go to the Dr id go. just for peace of mind, but give it a week or so and see if the pains go away.

i have been experiencing cramping a lot this week. This week is the week I should of been on my period, so im guessing it could be that or GAS. Since i have been preggers i have been so constipated all this gas is just building up. So it could just be that. If the pain increases i would suggest to go see your doctor like immediately just so he can check everything over. You will be fine, your uterus is still stretching so that could be painful as well. gOod luck and congrats!

If it's was just the cramps or just the light bleeding then it would be ok. But since you have cramps and light bleeding you need to go to the hospital and make sure everyting is ok. Make sure your not having a miscarriage.

I never felt that way.It does not sound at all normal and i would strongly suggest that you go to a different doctor because bleeding of any kind during pregnancy is not a good thing. When woman bleed in the beginning of a pregancy it is cause to worry and it can also be signs of a miscarriage.Best Wishes.

Your doctor is an idiot. Get a second opinion quick. I had the same symptoms and ended up with a miscarriage. My doctor told me it is NEVER normal to bleed during your pregnancy. The nurse told me to lie on my left side, while I got to the hospital. Take care and good luck! Hope everything goes well!

When I took birthing classes I learned that you can have cramping beginning middle and end of pregnancy. Whenever you feel cramping YOU MUST DRINK. If you're body needs water for the first thing it will do is protect and fend for itself and start to get rid of that baby. That's just a natural instinct. So drink plenty of water all the time especially if you feel cramping.

You need to get back in to see the doctor. I remember mild cramping from time to time, but it was more like slight discomfort than pain. The bleeding doesn't sound normal either.
