I started getting braxton hicks with my second pregnancy at 12 weeks... perfectly normal...I can't say for sure that it is braxton hicks though... Mine just feels like a tightening in my stomach... But I have heard people describe them in many different ways. Just ask your midwife about it at your next appointment.. Good Luck! :)

The pulling feeling your are experiencing is the growth of your Uterus, which is putting a little pressure on your cervix. Some people feel Braxton Hicks early, but I would say more in the third trimester than at 18 weeks.
You stated that you have already had a child, which means that your uterus will expand a little quicker than the first time, as it has already been stretched.
As long as your cramps don't get severe, and you don't have any bloody show, you are probably experiencing symptoms of growth .

Braxton hicks can come this early. I experienced them at 15 weeks with my second son and with this one I've had them off and on from 14 weeks. Some people may not experience them until the last trimester,, everyone is different. It is definitly not out of the ordinary to have them already at 18 weeks.

The pulling feeling could be from the baby or your uterus growing. But the cramps could very well be from braxton hicks, I would ask your doctor on that one though. With my second born I didn't feel b.h. until I was around 30 weeks along.

You could be feeling your uterus growing and stretching. Or you coudl be havign BH (braxton hicks). I started having BH when I was about 20 weeks. It was my first pregnancy, and I knew exactly what they were. The feeling is unmistakable in my opinion. A tightening feeling or a feeling liek the baby is pushing out really hard. Your stomach will get hard and may even look oddly shaped.
Good luck and congrats!

Are these cramps that are painless, come in irregular intervals, and less than 6 of them in an hour? If yes, then they are BH contractions. I'm no doctor though...I'm just going on what I have learned and experienced (35 weeks pregnant today). I guess I started feeling them around 20 weeks, but there's no rule of thumb as to when they "should" start. I would absolutely ask your doctor about it though. Good luck sweetie!

With my first pregnancy, I started having Braxton Hicks at three months along. With later pregnancies, I was eight weeks along.
