Yes. It also reinforced the left wing propaganda. If elected Hillary will not pull out either. They'll find a reason to stay or rearrange paperwork whilst doing the same surge like attitude. In all honesty it is THE ONLY OPTION. So the Democrats simply complain as usual until they get what they want...Power. Then they don't fulfill any of their promises. The Right comes out and says what their going to do. There are only so many decent options. The Democrats only avenue to achieve power is dissent, even if the shoe were on the other foot. We would be where we are at today.

This whole thing is ridiculous. They're going after Clinton in particular, when she is hardly the only person who makes comments in that vein, which by the way are completely valid and don't have any effect on enemy propaganda. Why? Because they're REALLY po'd that Sens. Clinton and Byrd are putting forth a bill to deauthorize the power they gave Bush back in 2003.

When you attend a football, baseball or basketball game do you cheer for your team? That cheering is to show your support and encouragement for your team. It also discourages the other team leaving them with the belief they are not the chosen team. WE NEED TO GET OUT OF IRAQ AS SOON AS POSSIBLE - BUT - to make public the details of a withdrawal and the continued and growing arguments for withdrawal is not in the best interest of our country or our allies. We need to get out of Iraq but it needs to be done without public involvement. We do not need to keep telling the enemy we are considering leaving the battle ground. We need to get beyond the win or loose mentality - that makes no difference. What we need to understand is that we had no business going to Iraq but we did and we made a mess of things there. How can we best fix the mess? If military action is the only way so be it. If it takes better politicians then we need to get rid of those who voted to send our soldiers there. Most, (including Clinton) by their own admissions did not even read the intelligence reports on Iraq before they voted for the war. Now, many are crying to pull out but offer no alternatives in handling the problems we will leave there and bring home with the troops. I, FOR ONE, THINK WE SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN THERE, SHOULD HAVE LEFT WHEN WE DETERMINED THERE WERE NO WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION (we still had the respect and support of most Iraq people at that time), AND WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN OUT A LONG TIME AGO! I also believe many of the politicians presenting their arguments do not fully understand either side of the argument. They are more interested in joining the popular belief than making an open minded decision. At one time a military concept said military officers who had been in combat should not be placed in positions with significant decision making power. The concept was that a person who has been at war, witnessed the horror of war, the death and destruction, and heard the cries and screams of soldiers wounded and dying, would think before sending troops into that environment. Had Bush done his military duty he would have better understood the horrors of war. No person should be put in a position to make decisions who has not witnessed the potential outcome of the decision. War can not be understood from the TV screen, from meetings in secure rooms, written and most often biased reports; and most certainly, by someone who has never been there. Not Clinton or any other person who has only witnessed war from an easy chair should be making decisions or alleging their expertise. Unless they have waded in the blood, felt the sting of the bullet, the heat of war, and the pain of loss of family and friends they are no better qualified to judge and advise than Bush has been!
