You will "pay" for the war in ways you can't begin to imagine. Both long and short term. Anti-American feelings, riots, globalisation, more wars etc etc,. I know what you mean but I felt this was a better response.

same way everything else is paid for....by being in debt, this is the same debt that this country has always been in....it will never change. In order to get out of debt the government will have to take everything you make, take away welfare and social security, and it still will not put us even close to getting out of debt. It is this reason that the democrats will raise your taxes, and do nothing about the high gas prices same as the Republicans have done about high gas prices ... nothing ... Has either side addressed the issue....no. This is by far one of the biggest issues that we Americans have...sure the war is up there too, but realize this....even when the war is over...many of our troop will have to remain, just like they have done in Japan, Germany and such places...those extremest Muslim will never stop killing and trying to take over....so if Obama gets in the white house....the Muslims will be very happy.

It has been $13 Bil. a month on war cost and $3 trillion in debt in total so far!!!! terrifying numbers, just for one man's stupidity!!!

And the most petrifying of all is that, how long would it take for US to balance things out!! Economically, etc.

Debt, ultimately in taxes. The "war on terror" will cost 758 billion dollars if new funding is approved; 74% of that is the cost of the war in Iraq.

The cost of lost U.S. credibility in the rest of the world, the loss of civil liberties? Priceless.

Let the children pay for it... that is, if they dont die. Bush wants to veto a bill and deny 25 million dollars from going towards children healthcare

Deficit spending, like we have for the past 5 years.

We borrow money, and pass the debt on to our children.

The same way we pay for everything -- through exporting goods. Eventually, taxes may rise to cover the costs as well.

The cost of the war is a lot less than the cost of what will happen if we fail.
