they usually do an ultrasound between 18 and 20 weeks to check gender and babys stats. Hang in there. you will find out soon enough!

When you say 'tell if it's a girl or a boy' I'm assuming you mean by ultrasound. No-one will guarantee anything but you need to be at least 18 weeks along (18 weeks since your last period) for an ultrasound tech to spot a penis if it's there. If they don't see one, it's not as certain that it's a girl... but if they do, rest assured that it's likely a boy. I peeked for the first 2 of my three kids, was told they were boys and voila, I have 2 boys (and now a girl). If you're asking about amniocentesis... that's when they remove fluid from around the baby to see if the baby has chromosomal abnormalities like down's syndrome... that procedure is generally done around 15 weeks, sometimes a bit earlier.

I had to have a ultrasound at 10 weeks and then again at 15. They could not tell at either ultrasound they said that at the 15 weeks ultrasound it would have been a guess not a exact answer. They told me that around 20 weeks(5 months) I should be able to know for sure.

You have to be 16 weeks pregnant. Most doctors don't do an ultrasound until you are 20 weeks. I found out that I was having a little boy at 16 weeks with my first and I found out tha I was having a little girl at 16 weeks and they did another ultrasound at my 20 week check-up to make sure it was a girl and she is 100% girl.

Between weeks 16 and 24 the doctors can tell for sure with an ultra sound. (If the baby is positioned right in utero to tell) But by then the sex organs are develeped enough to tell.

i asked this question the other day on here because i'm 3 months pregnant and everyone mostly said between 16 and 20 weeks....and then i asked my doctor and she said that it could be at 16 weeks but most likely closer to 20.

Atleast 16 weeks, I found out at 20 weeks I was having a girl.

I found at 17 weeks. and if you are having a boy they sometimes can tell at 12 weeks.
