I'm pregnant with a little girl :)

the thing is i have always said that if i have a girl i will call her Asia, only my boyfriend hates this name although we both like Neveah.

Can you tell me which you like best? I know some of you won't like either but if you could tell me which you prefer out of Asia and Neveah. Thank you :)

Ok he doesn't like Asia but we BOTH like Neveah. We will use both but which name is better for the first name, Asia or Neveah?

Neveah is Heaven spelt backwards and is pronounced Niv-vae-yah. :)

I'm not doing it to look creative, trendy or unique! It's me and my boyfriends choices, its the names we like - it is our baby! How dare you try and make me feel bad over the names I like for my baby. I only wanted some people's opinions on which was better, if u don't like them - don't answer! :(

I hate the name Nevaeh. It's completely made up and has no background to it. So, I'm going to have to say I like Asia much more.

Neveah Asia

Just to clarify - Neveah is actually Haeven spelled backwards. The word you're looking for is Nevaeh. Nevaeh isn't pronounced any specific way because "aeh" doesn't exist in the English language. People are going to mess up the spelling and pronounciation for her whole life, and she can't even logically correct them, since there is no 'right way' to sound that word out.

Needless to say, I dislike the name Nevaeh. It's trendy and low-class, or at least it gives off that vibe. How about a legit, not as super popular name such as Neve or Nava? She won't have to share her 'name' with a million other little girls.

Asia is a country. It's silly as a first name. Imagine your daughter wanting to travel the world as an adult. How silly would a woman named Asia look visiting Asia? Don't limit your daughter's oppurtunities just so you can look unique and creative. Consider her feelings and give her a real, unique and legit name.

Good luck.

***Wow, calm down. How dare I? First of all, stop being so selfish. I'm thinking of your child, not you. Sorry, I thought that was who this was all about, your baby girl. Next time, I'll focus my post more on you than your kid. Sorry I misunderstood your intentions. Is this more the answer you were hoping for?
"Gee, what pretty special names! I love them both! They are perfect for your special little angel!!!111!11!" There, take that answer if it makes you feel better. And show it to your daughter when she's 20 and upset that she has a stupid name. Maybe it will help her to realize how important it was that her Mommy and Daddy got to use a name they liked best, regardless of how silly it sounded.

Of the two I like Asia better, but I don't love it. And Neveah is Heaven backwards --almost-- it should be Nevaeh, but how do you say it or pronounce it. Since you are both not in complete agreement on a name yet why not keep looking and find one that you both like, and one of these could be a middle name.

Neveah Asia. I would definitely suggest choosing the name the both of you like for the first name. See if he would like Asia as the middle name, it's all about compromise. Congrats!

i knew a girl when i was in kindergarten named asia. i have to agree with that glamorous girl. and now that i know how to prounouce neveah, "asia neveah" i think sounds better. if you listen to both combinations they kind of have the same flow to me until you try adding on the last name. i think you should keep asia for one of the names just because you've always wanted to have a girl with that name. when i was a little girl i always named my barbies crissy or martika, i don't think i would pick those names now at all, but that fact that you still love that name and it's dear to your heart is sweet and something you can tell your daughter when she's older. good luck with the baby.

I REALLY LIKE BOTH NAMES A LOT, ASIA IS MORE UNIQUE AND REALLY NICE, BUT IF YOU DO RELENT OR COMPROMISE, WHAT EVER YOU SEE IT AS, NEVEAH IS A BEAUTIFUL NAME AS WELL WHICH YOUR DAUGHTER WILL SURELY LIKE WHEN SHE IS OLD ENOUGH TO APPRECIATE IT. BUT HOW ASIA AS A FIRST AND NEVEAH AS A MIDDLE, THAT WOULD BE EVEN BETTER. REMEMBER ALTHOUGH IT'S BOTH YOU AND YOUR BOYFRIENDS CHILD, YOU'RE THE ONE CARRYING THE CHILD FOR 9 LONG MONTHS, REMIND HIM OF THAT

I have always liked Asia. I like Neveah but it is sooooo popular right now and I know you aren't using it for that reason but I think Asia is a little more unique. My husband hated the name Ava for our second daughter but now he loves it. It may grow on your bf !
