Values can not be compromised at all, otherwise there is no foundation for a relationship. A solid foundation is what is necessary for a true and honest relationship. From that all other values fall into place and upheld and respected. Taking that for granted is the reason why relationships fail.

I think that when you get in a relationship you become more forgiving of the other persons' faults and you kind of lose your individuality in it as well because you tend to think of yourself as two instead of one so your values and beliefs tend to scramble and the best way to straighten those is to take time for yourself and reevaluate the things you want out of a relationship.

I could not compromise my values, morals or principles and live with myself... in any relationship....I don't think you can change people , you can only live your life the way that keeps you grounded...whether they share your code of ethics or not.
If there is criminal behaviour , no trust, abuse of any kind, thievery, or a constant liar, I could not be any part of that life......
