I don't think that he is going to leave. I think that the US is looking at our new dictator. I would lay money on it that "something" will happen and he will not leave. He has 18 months to plan this out....or do you think he already has?

I've been laying 50-50 odds for the past year.

After Bush declared his coup today, I've upped the odds.

I would get my guts checked if I were you. Many presidents, a lot more popular and powerful have wanted the same, but the constitution seems to stand in the way.
PSU 840 can you let me see that executive order you talked about. That would really interest me. Since no one else in the world seems to know anything about it.
AN executive order cannot and will not abrogate the constitution and the other two branches of government.

PSU840, Don't just glance read it. Paragraph 5 a. would be what you need to read. In order to implement it, it would be insured that the constitution remains intact, so therefore the whole supposition of yours is irrelevant.

I could easily see him pacing the Oval Office, trying to figure out a way. However, since there is not enough time to repeal the 22nd Amendment, he is out of luck and running out of time.

Amendment 22 - Presidential Term Limits
1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this Article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President, when this Article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this Article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term.
me.
Any executive order in opposition to Amendment 22 would be unconstitutional and void.

Once they announce the new President of the United States, George Bush will get behind a podium like he is going to give a speech, but he will yell out something like, "COME AND GET ME!" instead. Then the secret service agents standing behind him will pump their shotguns menacingly and start to open fire on the crowds of Americans and black iron tanks will begin rolling through cities crushing everyone who opposes Bush. Bush will only laugh a sinister laugh from his satellite of death as he puts on his cape and assumes his position as lord and master of the universe.

Answer this. How would he do it? Do you know anything about the Government? Just a question, not a condemnation.
Writersblock2006: Wow, did you hurt yourself stretching to defame Bush?
Not a patriot, did no serve? Did you?
FDR did not, LBJ did not, Wilson did not, Clinton did not, Jefferson did not, Adams, neither one, did not, Hoover did not, does that make all of them unpatriotic.
Also, is there any evidence from the person who said Bush signed an executive order?

There are theories out right now that the Masons are working for the Pope, and that the Pope is the Antichrist, and he gives the Masons orders to give to Bush, and that's why we're so ******.

I'm not completely sure if I believe this, but I think since the last two elections Bush lost but he ended up as President, and also because of a lot of controversy with some of the candidates, the primaries will have to go to the House, giving Bush more time to complete any events he has planned.

Surely he'll change the law whereby a President can only serve two terms so that they can serve as many as "they bloody well like". This seems the obvious course of action to me. He will then run the next election, cheat, win and invade Iran with an addendum to remind him to invade Canada if they "give me anymore cheek".

Not going to happen. But here's a chance to make a fortune: I'll bet you can get 1000-1 odds on that puppy; stick a year's pay on it and retire when it happens

I am quite confident that nothing like that will happen. He will leave office at the legally appointed time in January, 2009.

Do you honestly think the American people would allow that? Not only would there be a revolution, I will personally lead it.

I'm not kidding.
