If they sort out their away form when compared to last season, then they might.
Sunderland? Ease off the humour! They have only just got back into the Premiership, and on the last two occasions they were there, they finished bottom with the statistically worst record of any Premiership team at the time.
I think they will be happy with a good, steady consolation, and then they can get better the following season (as long as they don't coast on any momentum). Better to do a 'softly softly, catchy monkey' approach to staying up (a la Allardyce-era Bolton) rather than too-much-too-soon like Ipswich.

Oh yes. Good signings in significant positions. With a good solid start to the season who knows where we might finish! And yes I am a Liverpool supporter, have been since 1965.
Consistency is what is required. Grinding out wins in tight games and beating those that we should home and away. If we won every game 1-0 I wouldn't care. Winning is what matters. Leave the pretty stuff to Arsenal, however I would say Arsenal are going to struggle again this season.
Chelsea are in self destruct mode and I hate Man U anyway, so I would give them credit for nothing. Actually I don't think they'll do anything this season anyway, perhaps win the League Cup, or whatever they have called it this season!
Am I biased or what. Yes, but I don't care. Liverpoooooooooool. Go to the link! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8SbHIUOSDc

I really can't see that happening, they're not on the same par as Man u or Chelsea yet, it's a shame coz i'd like to see someone different win the Premiership for a change. Had to laugh at your sunderland comment, would be good though, wonder what odds you would get for that

I think that Liverpool are building a squad that can challenge. I just think it may be asking to much for next season......given that there are a lot of new faces and it may take them a season to settle in together.
Not sure if Sunderland can push them to fourth, but it would be nice to see a big club like them have a good one.

No third is best Liverpool can really hope for. Next season if they make a couple of quality signings they can start to think about challenging for the title.
Sunderland 3rd???? Roy Keane has done a fantastic job but he is not a miracle worker!!!! If Sunderland make UEFA, Keane would have done an amazing job, anything more is just unrealistic!

There is no point in their playing unless they are looking for a first.
I have not missed football one little, so I will not be following even Everton or Tranmere Rovers
