.nothing,sweetheart. it really IS all about the timing.... me and my current boyfriend have waited 3 years to be together even tho we knew we were in love ,all along... sometimes you have to wait for the right timing ..... it might not be today or tomorrow... but maybe in a week or month.... things fall into place..they always do. :)

Well if it takes you breaking up with him to realize that you love him then what are you really in love with now? The fact that u have more freedom with out him or that a year ago when you had him you didn't know how to treat him? He was probably doing you right and you couldn't see it because you were to busy looking at the grass on the other side. He is over or at least trying to get over you and get on with his life and keeping you as a friend was the friendly thing to do. But now you have gone and just told him you love him because you see how good he is with someone else.
REALITY CHECK.
IF YOU LOVE HIM LET HIM GO.
if he is ment for you he will come back and find you. Until then Move on or go on Springer and fight it out.

If I have a girlfriend now or even before I knew my ex-girlfriend (friend for a year) is still in love with me, I would not care it has been a year!

You could always arrange for his gf to have an accident. I would not my hopes too high if I were you. You definitely do not want to get used. Good luck. I could not be friends with my ex-gf if she was seeing someone. I hope get what you want.

I'd let him make his mind up as to whether he wants to move ahead with you or continue with the path he has taken. Unfortunately you can't make him change. He must want to do that for himself. Good Luck dear!!!

dont avoid him but dont text him every minute as this might have freaked him out a bit, let him make the move on you now if hes interested as he knows you love him, if he felt the same he'll amke a move.
but dont come inbetween his relationship though

Lay low. Don't act needy. Work on yourself...make yourself desireable. Life is long. Get busy with someone else. It may all come back to you.

If he has a girlfriend, and he is choosing her over you, then he DOES NOT love you.
Time to move on.
