Crying is a relief valve. During times of immense stress or loss it's the body and mind's way of expressing and therefore alleviating some of the trauma. Biologically, it also serves a similar function as sweating. Tears help to rid the body of toxins.

I don't ... but I'm a psychologist. Most people believe it's 'not nice' to cry in public, or to look as if you have been crying ... and since I cry during the ends of some movies we see in theaters, I do notice that people tend to stay at least 6' away if I have 'tell-tale signs' I've been crying.
The thing is that crying is actually HEALTHY ... especially one of those 'sobbing cries' that leaves us feeling totally drained, and looking 'red and drippy' ... so if you NEED to cry then go ahead and cry ... but it's best if you can do it in a 'semi-private place, with someone who is willing to hold and 'pet you' as you cry ... the world will be a much better looking place when you 'get it all out' through your tears, whether you talk or not about the 'reason' you are crying.

I'm not sure you will ever find someone who thinks crying is abnormal. It's a physical sign of a very deep emotion that isn't easily activated. That lack of consistency doesn't make it abnormal by any means.

Of course not. Babies are born crying so it is obviously one of the most natural expressions of emotion. Have you ever had a good cry? It works wonders sometimes. Other times, it can be a nuisance.

No,it's normal to cry. When you cry, tension is out of you and you usually feel better. It also depends on why you are crying, joy or sadness. In both cases it's all right to do it.

No, if it was abnormal, it would be difficult for your body to do it. Tears come very easily when you're sad, therefore, it must be normal!

If you can not cry you are not realistic to the real world and you are killing your ability to feel emotion and live a real life of happiness.
