I've been to Yankee stadium once. It wasn't to bad. Some of the fans were loud and obnoxious but most were ok. Yankees beat the Blue Jays.

I went to a game at Yankee earlier this week -- Monday night (Yankees 6 - Jays 4) -- and had a darn good time. Like them or not (and for the most part I don't), Yankee Stadium is a great place to watch a ballgame. (Note, it is also stunningly expensive and not for the faint of wallet.) I scored two brilliant seats from a freelance broker -- ninth row up from the Yankees on-deck circle, so Jeter and ARod and Matsui-san and all were RIGHT THERE, lifesize, living, breathing, swinging. And I got them for slightly below face value, which was weird but very pleasing. Two rows directly BEHIND us, probably in town for promo work for their new "Chuck & Larry" movie, sat Adam Sandler and Kevin James, so we had better seats than movie stars. And it was a great fun game (even with the Yanks winning), several homers, some exciting plays (both made and muffed), and overall an electric evening.
It was my third time at Yankee Stadium (first since 1981) and almost certainly my last, and the dear wife's first and only. It was SOOOOOOO worth it. I probably won't do it again -- circumstances were favorable, but I cannot imagine we'll be there again before the wrecking ball -- and we took in the Sunday game at Shea as well, my first (and, again, likely last) ever as well. Baseball in Noo Yawk is great.

I don't understand the question. If you don't like the Yankees, don't go to the game.
Funny though how attendance in every ballpark around the country dramatically increases when the Yankees come to town.

I would never go to a Yankees game...unless they were playing BOSTON and I wanted to see them kick the crap out of those New Yorkers! Red Sox are so much better. Who cares is Yankees got A-Rod, Jeter and Johnny Damon. Red Sox got Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz and lots of other kick-butt players. And much better uniforms. They are the most popular team in the MLB..and the best. The stats dont lie you haters!!!!

I've never been to Yankee Stadium and would like to go before it's gone after next year. My wife is afraid to go though--we're Red Sox fans and she's afraid of what might happen. I tried telling her it's not as bad as she might think but she's still nervous. Maybe I'll leave her at home and go with a couple of my buddies, lol.

What on the earth does payroll could do with a single pastime? Uh because of the fact there is no longer a earnings cap and there heavily isn't one. because of the fact baseball isn't performed on paper, it is performed via human beings no longer robots it is not significant what the payroll of two communities is, any team is beatable on any given night. Who cares if a Yankees fan likes his team being able to spend funds? The Steinbrenner's are not even the richest proprietors in baseball, communities spend based on the gross revenues they generate. Now get a existence.

Great place to watch a game and every fan should be required to make the pilgrimage once in their lifetime. Once the pilgrimage is made you have the right to replace your first name and use the new name "Babe".
