I've had books take a few days to a few weeks.

This is an impossible to answer question. The distance between Amazon shipping point to you, the mode of delivery, and the carrier all come into play.

If you are in a hurry, you pay for overnight service. If you want to save freight costs, you select slower modes. It really depends upon what you did when you ordered.

Depends on the type of item and which company it was ordered from. I placed an order last monday for several different things. Yesterday, I received 2 of the items, but there are 3 items still on the way.

If the item is in stock it is delivered very quickly - 3 to 5 days. If the item is out of stock, it is anybody's guess.
