My bf and I broke up three weeks ago. We were together for a year and a half, but the past 12 months we were doing long distance (Boston-NYC). We had planned on me moving to NY to be with him, but we had been fighting a ton. The fighting was mostly driven by me, but until we broke up I did not see it that way. When we broke up we were both unhappy with the current relationship, and agreed that after taking time to ourselves that we would talk to make sure that we had made the right decision. I moved to VT to stay with my mom after the breakup. Since the moment that I left him, I have been a wreck. I can't stop crying and can't stop thinking about what I should have done differently. My ex and I love each other very much, and talked about marriage and children all of the time (I am 28, he is 30). I have been trying to give him the space that we had agreed upon, but it seems impossible for me. We have only talked once. He says that he needs time. Does that mean he's moving on

Dont assume its over until he makes it clear to you that its over. I would think if he wanted the relationship to be over he would have said so already. I would give him some time, not a lot. Still call him, tell him you miss him. Tell him you are sorry, that you want to fix things between the both of you and see what happens.
