I have poly cystic ovaries which means I also don't regularly ovulate. I wasn't falling pregnant after a year of trying so sought a specialists opinion and booked into a fertility specialist.
They put me on a cycle of hormone monitoring, which included heaps of blood tests and injections that I had to do my self at home at particular consistent times. These injections almost guarantee you will ovulate and increase your chances.
I had a few issues....which eventually led us down the IVF path but I did ovulate every month whilst on those drugs. I am now 4 months pregnant. Good luck talk to your doctor.

If you aren't ovulating regularly your odds of becoming pregnant decrease. You should talk to you GYN first, he/she will probably refer you to a fertility specialist for testing. Specialist will do blood work and ensure that you don't have any blockages in your tubes, then try to determine why you are not ovulating. They will probably also prescribe you something such as Clomid to induce ovulation.
As one of the others suggested, you should start taking pre-natal vitamins, but that will not help you ovulate, nor become pregnant, it just increases your chances of having a healthy pregnancy and baby. Also, Mucinex is "supposedly" to help increase the amount of mucus you have, without ovulating, you can take all of these things and you won't get anywhere.
Talk to you GYN for advice to move forward.

I'm in the same shoes. You can't get preg if you don't ovulate so you will ahve to get some help. The doctor will prescribe meds like clomid to make you ovulate. I didn't react to clomid so I am now on gonal-f shots. My eggs are growing and we're waiting a few days before he gives me a shot to ovulate! We are excited. There is definitely hope!
Good luck!!!!!!!

I do not ovulate either nor have I had a period in 8 months, my dr. put me on provera to start my cycle then I take Clomid to start my ovulation. There aren't bad side affects just some mood swings, hot flashes and headaches. But if you are trying to conceive a child it's all worth it.
I would talk to your dr. about this medication.

because of the fact which you have atypical sessions and function been attempting for 2 years without consequences it incredibly is incredibly helpful to get a 2d opinion. i attempted to conceive for 3 years till now changing ob/gyn and alter into informed by the recent wellbeing care professional that I probable had PCOS (poly-cystic ovary syndrome). Which exchange into comfirmed quickly after, and defined different wellbeing concerns besides. the generally taking place first therapy for this variety of situation may be clomid. it incredibly is an oral drugs with few side effects and does not enhance your danger of multiples. additionally, it does not harm to have your companions sperm count quantity checked. (an much less costly attempt which could rule out one total fringe of the equation.) stable success!
