Run down the dock and when you get close to the end of it, jump and take a flying leap into the boat. That is how I do it. ;p

OK. Bring the boat parallel to the pier. Sit on the edge of the pier with your feet hanging over the side of the boat. Then step in carefully. Or take a running jump, like someone suggested.

Grab some boating lube at the local store, and when you are trying to get it off, just put some on your hand and grab the boat, and kick off with your feet. Works every time...
