I am! I think it's a silly, commercial thing...with incredible marketing but ultimately no better than other wonderful books in the world.

For Nicole..your cousin is right! This book is for 10-year-olds, not to be advertised on CNN as the main piece of NEWS!
For Anisha or Aisha...girl, If I were illiterate I wouldn't write what I'm writing here. Again, I think books like HP should target pre-schoolers. The fact that adults "love" them scares me a bit -how mature are we?

I'm so friggin' sick of the Harry Potter garbage. I can't turn on the television without seeing something about it, Can't read a magazine without seeing their faces, can't even get on Y!A without seeing something about how much people love Harry Potter. Personally, I thought the books were boring, right along with the movies. I would much rather read something that doesn't have anything to do with wizards...Something more interesting.

Harry Potter is not only for children you book snob. It has gotten an entire generation of children to read again. Besides, it sounds like you definitely could use some silliness in your life up there on your pedestal...

Me!!! The marketing on it is incredible, it has a lot more marketing on it then it should. I got tired of by the time the third movie came out!! It's a stupid!!!!! The story line is always the same, in all the books!!!

ME ME ME! It's on the news, in the papers, on here. I can't escape H.P. Yes, I do read books, but you'd think H.P. was the only book in the world. Sorry fans, but I think the books are nerdy. I welcome all the thumbs down I'm about to receive!

Its just really overexposed, but I think "Pottermania" only really happens when a book or a movie is coming out and in this case- its both.

im actually not. i think there are alot of great books out there, but this particular book just so happened to really take off moreso than the others.

i HATE it.
i think its so stupid.
i saw the movie and fell asleep in the middle.
i read the first chapter of the first book and felt like ripping up the book.
its so boring.
sorry if this makes any of you feel bad.
