I always leave two dollars. They do get your drinks, and clean up your plates - so I figgure that deserves a couple of bucks. They probably all have to split tips anyways (bussers, servers, food stockers etc)

It all depends on the server. If some one seats me and some one else serves me and it is a place that does not share tips I make sure the one who serves me and gets drinks and takes plates and such gets a good tip. Mostly I go by budget If I only have 2 dollars I leave 2 dollars. But if I have a five I leave five dollars I always think that if I had to wait on a lady with 3 small kids and a husband how much I would like for a tip. Attitude is everything if I see that they are having a bad day but a great attitude I tip 5. I hope this helps you.

Generally $2 for the two of us at an "average" buffet. But a little more if the server is attentive, keeps drinks filled, gets more napkins or silverware if something drops on the floor, clears plates so they don't stack up, that kind of thing.

If a server gets you your drinks and refills and busses your dishes then about 10%... If you do all of that yourself then nothing... If you're still unsure look at the tables around you to see if other people have left anything.

I'd say 2$ per table if there's good service. Restaurant workers are allowed to get paid below minimum wage because of the tips that they make.

Usually about 10% of the bill for a buffett type restuarant, unless I'm feeling generous then 15%. They have to earn a living too!

$1 per person if there's anything done to your table at all, including cleaning it when you leave.
Think about the poor guy or gal that has to bus the tables for a living!
If you bus your own table, then I would say you have no need to tip. (No one to collect it!)

I usually give 10% because many times they still come by to take your drink orders and take the dishes away.
