anybody know and modern/ realistic theatre plays that i could do a scene from??? i am an 18 year old female, and i need a good part to play...i'd prefer something maybe a little sad or depressing or a tough character.........it has to be like aurthur miller or tennessee williams or neil simon or eugine oneil stuff....PLEASE ANSWER!!! Thank you!!!

I suggest you go to StageAgent.com and do a "PartFinder" search. Figure out which roles you are right for and read the plays that those characters are in. The best way to bring a scene or monologue to life is to really understand the whole story and where your character is coming from.

You local library will have many of the material you need to get started :-)

Anything by David Mamet is pretty intense (Oleanna)
