I vote in the 2008 presidential elections, and this will be my first time, and even though I'm leaning a lot to one of the candidates I want to "know" all of them, and know exactly what it is that they stand for and everything, so I've been wanting to see the speeches and stuff but I never know when they are...
Where can I find out, or does anyone know when the next one is?

Great to hear it, someone that is really looking into who to vote for, and why. Watch the candidates, look for their speeches on google video or youtube. The "debates" on TV are too brief, and the answers are usually well rehearsed (watch Romney for an example of this). Pick the one you think is doing two things,

Standing on most of the issues important to you,
and
Not lying.

Not lying about it, is the most important. Would you vote for the candidate that promised to give everyone $5000? It would be great, but not believable. Look at their past, use the web to your advantage. Don't vote by party (don't get sucked into the false left/right divide). Vote with your heart, and your mind.

If you think one is acceptable, look up their name with the words "flip flop" on Google. See how they have reversed their stances in the past, and how they could easily do it again once in power.

Look at their associations, look at who and which companies or organizations support them, look at their ties to conflicts of interest. It's a tough path to follow, but an informed voter is the best kind. Good luck with whomever you pick. I support Ron Paul.

The best judge is their voting records and not what they say because, with rare exception, what politicians say and how they vote are completely different.

Remove their names and look at the voting records of all the Presidential candidates from the two major parties and only one will stand apart and that is Ron Paul. All the rest are similar and from their voting records you will not be able to pick the Democrats from the Republicans.

If you like Hillary, or Obama, or Rudy, or Romney, or Edwards, or McCain, or Thompson than choose whichever one is the sexist because they are all peas in a pod. In fact the two front runners, Hillary and Rudy are so much alike, they should cut the pretense and run on the same ticket.

You only have three choices, (1) any of the above, (2) Ron Paul, or (3) third party.

On August 5, 2007 there is to be a Republican debate to be aired by ABC, followed on August 19, 2007, by a debate among the Democrat contenders. Be aware that the debates will air at 8:00 A.M. Central Standard Time. They are part of a special edition of "This Week with George Stephanopoulos." This site tells this and more about these two debates. http://www.movieweb.com/tv/news/92/20592.php

There will be a debate between the Republican candidates this November at Iowa State University. MSNBC will air it live. This site tells more about it. http://www.iastate.edu/~president/pcf/

Also, if you do a search on each candidate's name, you will find a website for each. The sites will tell you the candidates' stances on a variety of issues.

Hope that helps.

Try doing Yahoo! searches with the candidates' names. You will get so many hits that you won't want to view all of them.
