just because you say it doesn't make it true. He never said that, it's just conservatives hearing what they want to hear.
A good republican at least tries to make his lies believable.

For all of you who said this is a Troll: I heard the speech Obama was giving when he said it, I will paraphrase: Barack Obama supports teaching sex education to Kindergartners, , I think it is a good idea... so he said it...and no I do not want a teacher teaching my child about sex...I have already told my 9 and 11 year old about good touches and bad touches...so I do not need them...Obama is a rich elitist who went to a private school in Hawaii (Punaho..I lived in Hawaii for 6 years)...can you pay 15K+ a year for your kid to go to school? Well he just lost the Southern vote....and everyone with a bit of sense knows no President yet has been elected without carrying the South or the Heartland...that leaves Hilary out too...

First of all, it was a question raised about Mitt Romney who supported age appropriate sex ed in kindergarten in Mass. And then changed his position when he went national.
Second, simple reproductive facts and information on safety and privacy touching issues aren't liberal or conservative, nor would teachers be doing much of anything other than teaching by the 'book'.
Its a shame so many are put off at the thought of the word sex, its just education, and if we had more of it we might have less teen pregnancies. Making some sort of terror fraught bogeyman out of Mr. Sperm meeting Mrs. Egg is supremely silly.
Its important that at each age level kids get accurate facts. Not shaded by any ones political party.
It is a parents job to teach morality, and few enough of them do that. Not in any school sex ed class at any level is it a how to do it course, its just a factual course that in the old days we used to call Health, and we separated the boys from the girls to do it.

The "sex" part should be removed
Kids should be taught GENERAL safety:
-don't go with strangers
-don't let people touch you
-be aware of people following you
-no touching in THIS spot or THAT spot
-don't lend money to people, espcially family or the government
Kids do not need to know the mechanics of sex to understand that a touch is bad
My wife and I have always given our kids general safety rules, and then integrate the "good touch/bad touch" instructions inside of them.
But it doesn't do any good to teach a child about how Billy and Fred "do it" if you don't teach kids that a guy in a car who claims that his puppy is lost and wants your kid to get in the car and help him find it is DANGEROUS (my kids know this).

I am honestly scared to have kids . . . I do not want them growing up in our current society . . . it is sad!!! I cannot respect anyone who wants to teach a 5 year old what a Uterus is, and to tell them that babies grow there . . . It is not the job of the teachers to educate children (at any age) about sex. That topic should be left at home!

Maybe you don't like the thought of total strangers talking to your little kids about sex, but somebody has to protect them from perverts!

I wouldnt want a liberal teaching(indoctrinating) my child in any grade, which explains why my kids go to a private Christian school.

He must have been targeting liberal parents who rely on the government to raise their kids.

If it's a choice between children getting molested because they were never told about it, or being told about it ---- I'll accept my children learning about sex at a young age to keep them safe.
Really, it should be the parents doing this. But since too many parents will not step up, somebody has to protect the kids.
