Isn't it about time someone exposed the nicer side of the USA instead of decrying it all the time?

Hello I'm Canadian and I agree with you. A few of my friends sometimes bash the US because they're just plain ignorant. I do have to admit that the US gets some pretty bad press about your attitudes (what with movies and media and all) but whenever i go to the US i always meet nice people and they treat me with nothing but kindness. They should really show the nicer sides of Americans. But i think (sorry a little bit of politics) that the media does the same with Iraq and terrorists and how anyone from Islan believes in jihad and whatnot. Our media does this to everyone and everything and they should really stop. It's not benefiting anyone and it makes Canadians look like people who eat beavers and say "eh" all the time when i only know like two people actually once a day or so (and i don't know anyone who eats beaver..)

Most Americans are great but "the world" has no clue. That is why many Americans don't care about foreigners. It seems like Europeans look down on us and other countries just use us for a handout.

I agree with you, they get so much bad press and I have not met an American in 'real life' that I have not liked. Bless them.

well, when the only people that run for office are politicians (a simile for liar and cheat) what can the people do? someone has to run the infrastructure of the country.
