How do you split up the Congress. The only way is by house. All Republicans and Democrats make up the entire Congress and can only be judged as a whole.

This clears up nothing. The fact remains that Congress, made up of a majority of Democrats, has the lowest approval rating OF ALL TIME. Your SEPERATELY numbers make no sense and are completely irrelevant because they show a possible voting trend, not an approval rating. Your just going to have to get used to and accept hearing the truth. Whats mind boggling is that so many voters disapprove of how things are being run, but would stupidly vote for the same destructive do nothing Democratic party candidate in spite of the overwhelming evidence that they suck at their jobs.

the only confusion remaining is how you expect people to eat up your lies. if anyone bothers to follow your links to the truth, there will be no confusion.
who people would vote for is not an approval rating you idiot. however, democrats still give their democrat controlled congress a lower rating than the whole country gives the president!
"Among Democratic voters, 24% say Congress is doing a good or an excellent job. That’s down eleven points from 35% a month ago. Forty-one percent (41%) of Democrats say their team is doing a fair job while 31% say poor. "

No, and it's no misunderstanding it's a valuable talking point that they can twist and beat to death.
The majority of voters, 53% also say they'll vote for a Democrat for Congress in 2008, only 41% say they'll choose a Republican. Yet Republican multiple identities posters say the low over all approval rating for Congress means Republicans will have a 2008 landslide.

You can interpret the data in many different ways. Nonetheless, is the 46% approval rating for the Dems something which you are proud of? If their goal was to unify and bring together both sides of the aisle, they have failed miserably. Unfortunately, the media has done a good job of blaming the Republican leadership for the Democrats failure rather than bringing to light their total incompetence.

I disagree. The congress is, indeed controlled by the democrats. It has a poor approval rating when the question is asked that way, congress in general.

"However as of today, SEPERATELY...Democrats in congress have a 46% approval compared with 34% approval for Republicans."
Not true. That was not an approval rating
If the Congressional Election were held today, 46% of American voters say they would currently vote for the Democrat in their district while 34% would pull the voting lever for a Republican.

but...but...but
what are they going to complain about now?
everybody who actually does research knows that of the three branches of government, congress has always had the lowest approval rating for the last 20 years. then came the executive, then the supreme court.
the only exception has been the military, which seems to be immune from the problems of the president.
keep in mind also--the military is not elected, nor is the supreme court. it seems that the closer people in the government are to the public, the lower their rating is.

Stop the word play? Stop the numbers games? Are you really asking people who argue politics to stop twisting statistics and facts to suit their own interests?
Short answer... No I don't think that will happen.
