well, amazingly, it's true! Usually we get a lot of stick for the dreadful summer weather we can get up here (west of scotland), but this week has seen us sunbathing and swimming every afternoon. Have to wonder if it's "pay-back" time, this slightly better summer we've been having up here, for the torrentially wet and very windy autumn and winter we had - what goes round, comes round, so they say. No meteorological stats. for that statement, of course! But in Met Office language, perhaps it could be to do with the areas of low pressure hitting the UK further south, perhaps due to the Azores High sitting further south this summer. Usually the areas of low pressure come whacking in to the North, leaving the south basking in their usual summer sunshine...don't know...just a feeling...

In the Midlands it's raining bad I have family and friends in Leeds and Doncaster I'm glad your having good weather cause I think that some suffered enough a few weeks ago, I think of those in Toll Barr in Doncaster who still can't get home. I hope it stays dry for you all.

Its only fair thet we let you northerners have a bit of sunshine now and then. If we don't then the grim north has more people moving south, and we don't want that!
