Yes, the Lakers are a terrible team. The reason they are horrible is because Kobe is a ballhog and doesn't use his teammates enough. However, some of the younger players that are on the team aren't bad. They just don't have the experience in NBA games. The more a player plays the more confidence and comfortable he gets playing in their offense. The NBA doesn't play defense. The Lakers will be a playoff team in years to come, but without major significant moves or trades to improve they'll be just a winning team every yr and not win an NBA championship.

I am a big Lakers fan, but I can't lie. As a team, they are bad. That is why Kobe doesn't share the ball. And anybody that says Kobe would still be a ball-hog on a good team, you know nothing about basketball, or sports in general. Kobe has 3 rings, you can't win a title with a ball-hog on your team. And all you LeBron lovers, that is 3 more rings then LeBron will ever get. He is too focused on being a celebrity, not basketball player. That is why he got swept out of the Finals. And anybody that thinks the Cavs are better than the Lakers, remember that the Lakers are in the west, Cavs are in the East, huge difference.

I'll start by saying that I have an intense dislike for the Lakers.
I just think that, even with the best scorer (and maybe the best all-around player) in the league, they're very, very average.
If they could add a strong low-post player, like O'Neal or Garnett, they could be one of the top 5 or 6 teams in the league, but no one is particularly interested in giving up top-flight players for the spare parts the Lakers are willing to trade. The Lakers have not drafted particularly well for the last several years. Apart from Bynum they don't have any young players to develop. And remember, Bynum's still a baby. They will get better (much to my chagrin).

I wouldn't want Kobe to read this because he responds well to negative feedback like this post. The Kobes...I mean the Lakers will not win another championship if Bryant doesn't reign in that ego of his. He will find himself out of a job because no team will touch him with his attitude. You cannot have one good player on the team and win a championship. You have to make room for more than one star. Look at who has been successful in the past 20 years. Not one team in the league has had one guy do it all for them. Every championship team had 2-4 guys that could have been the go to guy on any other team. Sorry Kobe, but your skills, as great as they are, are just not enough.

They are a one dimensional team dependent on Koby. The are not terrible because they are a playoff team but they will never win it all without making some substantial moves.

Yes. Kobe is one of the best pure basketball players ever but he has no supporting cast. Maybe Derek Fisher will help but for them to do any damage in a very deep Western Conference they are going to have to get someone else to help Kobe.

They are not the worst team in the NBA. They will be the worst of the playoff teams next season.
