Someone the other day said they thought Osama was dead. That it was no way possible he could survive in the remote mountains for all these years with his severe medical condition. The person said they thought it was just a ploy by our government to instill fear and gain support for our sustained occupation.
I thought it was a bit far fetched, but stranger things have happened, I guess.
What do you think. Is Osama alive and kicking and lecturing to future Jihad martyrs?

It doesn't matter if he's dead or alive. The point is that Osama is not (was not and will not) a person with mystical powers.
"Someone" is right about the government using his image to instill fear and gain support. Osama is not as influential as they want you to think, never was and never will. He's just a guy, as bad as you want but just a guy.
Terrorism is a terrible thing, but the concept of it as a whole, integrated and organized as a whole, is unreal.
If you were able to kill Osama now, do you think that would put a dent into terrorism? all of a sudden they all forget how to build a bomb? all of a sudden they all loose the will power?
Osama is not required to lecture Jihad martyrs. I don't think he ever did that. The Jihad martyrs that we read about in the news (almost all of them) are from groups not related to Al Qaeda. They're from Hamas, Al Aqsa and minor local groups. They've been doing bombs and blowing themselves up long before Osama and Al Qaeda showed up. They don't need them to do that.
Terrorism is a very complicated problem. It's a lot easier for the government to sum it up into one man, one group and show it to the people. Then ask for support to fight them (who would say no, we all know they're bad guys) and attack whoever they want (who needs evidence to start a war).
I'm not afraid of terrorism. And before the flaming starts, let me tell you that two of the most terrible terrorist attacks in the last 20 years occurred less than 8km from me. I could have been exactly there when it happened.
But I'm a lot more afraid of the government who did nothing to find the truth and used the fear to take away my civil liberties by law.
The only way yo fight terrorism is to take the ideology out of them. Terrorism is crime, damage to others and their properties. They should be prosecuted as criminals and put the politics aside. But the government gets huge profits from it in terms of power and money. Why would they change?

Osama is still alive. The person who said it was just a ploy by the government to instill fear and gain support is an idiot. He's still alive and there is many terrorist activities going on all over the world. The government wouldn't make up a war just so they will get support. Stuff like that would be found out. Its not a movie like Canadian Bacon.

in accordance to the previous due Benazir Bhutto, Osama Bin Ladin has already been murdered. See related YouTube interview (the radio host chats slightly, then the David Frost interview with Bhutto from November 07 opens). Bush basically keeps him around as a "Boogie guy".

The iron curtain fallen - so the army was at risk to no longer make a point. Lucky them they made themselves a new aim: eradicating the terrorism. And it's Mr. Bin Laden who they labeled as world's biggest terrorist. Now let's think: what's easier, re-aiming the army or hunting a ghost? I'd bet on ghost hunting.
Well, I was saying that catching Mr. Bin Laden is not a good move for the USS army until they find a new aim for their target practicing game.

YOUR QUESTION IS MOOT
PRESIDENT BUSH ALREADY SAID HE ISN'T CONCERNED WITH BIN LADEN
Bush’s priorities have always been skewed. Just months after declaring he wanted bin Laden “dead or alive,” Bush said, “I truly am not that concerned about him.” Turning his attention away from bin Laden, Bush trained his focus on Iraq — a country he now admits had “nothing” to do with 9/11.

I believe he is alive.
The story about his kidneys is false.
I think he has to spend so much time going from cave to cave he doesn't have time to sit down and think much.
He was price on his head and after awhile someone is going to crack.

Funny you should ask this question.
There has been a bin Laden sighting just yesterday afternoon.
He was seen, down in Florida, playing golf with jeb bush and O.J.Simpson.
