Atleast the kind I drink does, I have to hide from certain people...

Absolutey! I just hate it when someone tries to back peddle after saying something when they were drunk and then later saying, "I didn't mean it.... I was drunk." The TRUTH is, "I meant it, but I wouldn't have said it if I hadn't been drunk." Whether you want to call it "beer muscles" or what.... but people get much more bold and are willing to say what they really believe when they are uninhibited by alcohol.

It's a government conspiracy. After the Prohibition period was repealed back in the 1930s, the government decided that alcohol was going to be a truth serum. That is why there is a cop around every bar (LOL).

I'm inclined to believe, at least for me, that alcohol tends to bring out the demons hiding within. When we are sober we try to appease others ideas of us. That's a hard way to live. When we have a drink, we tend to lash out at our goody two shoes self. Oh well, that's just my opinion!

ha ha ha! no, i think that if you are normally inclined to lie in certain situations, alcohol makes you tell the truth; but on the other hand if you are a strict truth-teller, you might get loose enough to actually tell a fib or two with alcohol! lol!

Alcoholic beverages do not contain sodium pentathol. What's probably happening is your discretions are lowered by being intoxicated on the alcohol and you just blurt out things which are considered inappropriate. Don't be worried, it happens to all alcoholics.

The kind my SO drinks does("I love you so much! I don't deserve you. I don't know why you still love me*blah blah blah*!). I don't drink enough for the affects of the truth serum in my vodka to kick in. One shot to relax isn't enough for my guts to spill.

Alcohol lowers your inhibitions on many levels. Speaking the truth is usually the least of my worries when I'm inebriated!!
