This philosophical question can best be answered if we know what obtains on other distant planets. There is some speculation to suggest that our planet and its occupants are unique in the whole universe, but whatever the true situation might be, it points to the existence of a Supreme Architect whose nature we cannot comprehend for as long as we remain human. Remember, there were other forms of humanlike beings before us whose level of intelligence was much below ours. Presumably, other forms of humanlike beings may also come after us, with much superior intelligence than ours. So who says God does not exist?

There is no why. Earth did not decide to have people or anything like that. There was no decision involved.
