There is no conquest. It doesn't go away. It stays. As there is an enemy within you, so is there a fast friend. Just watch your enemy or friend as a spectator from outside yourself, you will be free of it. It goes away with total attention and awareness. The more you do anything about it the powerful it becomes. Just stay with it still, don't defend it, don't conquer it, just watch it, what it is doing, where it is going....and it will wither away..

Plain laziness,
hopelessness,
interest in too many distracting things,
nonpriortizing my actions
craving for more food, sex, football, sleep ha ha ha.
These are my enemies within -nobody can help me conquer them. I must do it on my one and how often I fail !!! But I am what I am. I am only glad that I know and I accept them as my enemies. Ok Tomorrow shall be better - I promise. OkaY?

In April of this year I met with my worst enemy, my mind, I was tired of thoughts that made me who I am not. I went 6 days without eating and fighting with this person in my head. On the sixth day I finally conquered it and no longer have the thoughts that were placed in my mind.

Sure - there is a side of me that sometimes is best left alone. But the way that I conquer him, is to acknowledge him and understand who he is. Knowledge is always the best way to conquer enemies.

yes, you must watch your thoughts, the enemy will slowly infiltrate and when you hear the repeating loop in the back of your head stop it.

But it depends on where you are in the fight, if you haven't been keeping house, so to speak, you may have multiple loops all criscrossed ontop of one another and have to cut through all the tangled crawlers, which is very complicated if you can't see in the first place. It helps to go to a quiet place and remember what you are originally. This is why people meditate and go on fasts etc-

Hello,
I have never met with an enemy within me you know why?
Because I never go negative rather my thinking process is always positive.
I must say your question is very psychological.
But do you know the meaning of the enemy within yourself?
It is nothing but the negative thinking in your unconscious mind.
And the best way to kill that enemy is stop thinking.
Yes I mean it just stop thinking.
If your mind is still with those negative thoughts then just start doing some work, write something, read something, watch something interesting on television, do chatting, but just DO something!!!
This will stop your thinking process and will stop those negative thoughts to arrive.
If you continue this for some days you will have killed the enemy within yourself.
And I must tell, you will be successful in killing that enemy you know why?
Because you have a strong will to do so.
And you must be knowing this’ where there is will there is a way!!’
So cheers!!! And enjoy!!!

Anger, hatred, jealousy, greed. Horrible enemies. Focus on the opposite of these when a thought of this kind occurs and immediately the enemies will start to get replaced by the friends.

I answered a similar question last night except it was called the inner demon.
I hold to Plato's theory that man is a 3 fold individual.1. appetite (devouring man)(my words) 2.reason (thinking man )and 3.spiritual (moral man)
He reasoned that mans duty was to overcome the enemy within(devouring man) by using reason and morality.
the enemy (called such because left uncontrolled will cause disorder and self destruction of the individual in stark contrast of it,s intended purpose of self preservation.)
resides within all of us to a greater or lesser degree.to keep control of him one must posses or have developed the other parts of self ,reason and morality to the degree that they over rule the voraciousness of the devouring self.
Yes i have met the enemy within,In fact it at one time controlled my life to the point of self destruction.
because of a near death experience and subsequent spiritual awakening,Ive been restored to sanity and now work daily on keeping the self in balance.because of my belief in a higher power I have a daily reprieve.
conquer? I'm not sure of that. it too is a part of my whole self and has it,s purpose.
peace><>

I have two of them. One is the cynical, angry, displeased b**** that likes to slam doors. The other is a fat, lethargic, dull and depressed self-pitying chick. Both are very annoying and tend to hold me back from enjoying my life..making it a living hell.
I sedate them by partying, laughing, and just having a great time whatever I do!!!
It works btw
