With the world becoming smaller, America should lead the world into the 21 century. But handouts to foreign countries need to stop. It seems to me that over 30 years of trade deficits is enough.

Handouts to foreign countries have nothing to do with trade deficits.

A trade deficit is where one country exports (sells) more than they buy. And in a capitalist system, that's perfectly valid.

So is one country having less expensive products or services than another, leading to that country getting more business.

If you support true free market capitalism, then the concept of "fair trade" rules means getting the govt OUT of regulating business. Otherwise, you don't really support capitalism.
