My acer aspire 5610z laptop has a bluetooth switch on it but apparently no driver installed?

Why does my acer laptop have this bluetooth switch but it doesnt appear to work?

BLUETOOTH PROFILE NEEDS TO BE CHOOSED AND THEN TRY USING IT SHOULD WORK IF U HAVE BOUGHT ONE OF LATE INSTALLED BLUEETOTH DRIVER CHECK OR GO TO ACER SITE AND GET BLUETOOTH DRIVER FOR LAPTOPS OR ASK UR RETAILER

I have an ACER, and I believe you would still need to have a bluetooth adapter to use this. The switch is to turn on/off bluetooth once an adapter is installed.
