It's incredibly important that you get yourself on a written budget. A family of 4 on 175 dollars a weeks has to know where the money is going and if it's being spent the best way it can.
List all your debts starting with the essentials: food, electricity, rent, that sort of thing. Once you have that list every thing else. Pay for essentials first. Make the Dollar Store your best friend because you're in there so much. I love the Dollar Store. I'd rather pay a buck or two there then three or four bucks somewhere else. Cook as often as you can. McDonalds and those guys have to go without you, which is healthier anyway.
Make a savings column in you budget. Try to get 500 to 1000 dollars into an emergency fund as soon as you can. Emergencies happen to all of us but they are more easily handled when you know you have the money in the bank.
With three kids I hope your receiving child support. If not, get yourself into court and get it. The kids deserve it. You all need it.
Despite what others are saying, try to keep the puppy. I bet your kids love it. Budget for the puppy. Make a column right there and put a few bucks into it. That pup will needs shots and food and all the rest. Look to the SPCA for help with this.
Stick to this budget until you increase your household income whether that be another job or government assistance.

That puppy is going to start costing you some money feeding it, I'd give it up. You better get a better job or some education to get a better job. You didn't say if you were married so I assume you're living off your income alone? Get welfare, food stamps, a 2nd job, babysit, go to a local church to see if you can get help there, go to goodwill maybe if you need to buy some clothes or household things. I don't know how anyone can raise 3 kids on $700 a month, you need help. How about family, can they help? It sounds like a sad situation. Hope some of these ideas help you. With out knowing more about your situation though I can't give you any other ideas. Tell me more and I'll help you with some more suggestions if I can. Good luck.

Hello, I'd like to be of some help on creative ideas for you but you haven't given much info to work with however I'll give it a try. Do you have enough time and talent to do crafts or an art that you can sell. Do you qualify for aid from the state?WIC is a great program that helps with food for your children. Buy food in bulk, divide up meal portions and freeze them for later. Recycle cans, plastic bottles. If you don't have a problem with this idea, heres a good one... Think of any colledges near you, students are constantly graduating and when they do they move out of there apartment and throw away most everything in the dumpsters and head where ever home is. Sooo... go dumpster diving! I guantee you will find really cool stuff. Do what ever you think is a good idea. Keep it, sell it, trade stuff. Theres another good idea... the barter system/ trade your services, art, ideas, etc. Theres numerous ways to make ends meet, I'm one with you in the same boat. Good luck!

File a form W-5 with your employer and get your EIC paid out to you with you paycheck. If the children meet the qualifications, under age 19, dependents, yadda, you have over $ 3,000.00 coming to you that you can receive as an advance in your paycheck.
