It was a foregone conclusion. Only the most naive would have expected a criminal prosecution to come of it.
... but hey you never know, there really might not have been enough evidence against any one person to put before a court and ask them to convict beyond any reasonable doubt, even if some did appear to be upto their eyeballs in it.
The conspiracy theorist in me still thinks otherwise ;o)

Of course I believe in the honesty of Brown, Blair, and (let's not forget) BALLS. They took the money. They delivered the honours. What's crooked about that?
No wonder the CPS (Crooks' Protection Scheme) could find no grounds for a charge. And quite right too.

The investigators thought ther was enough evidence, the CPP did not - this is a bloody expensive farce that will do nothing to elevate New Labour from its stinking cesspit of sleaze.
