I must have my swimsuit and good sunblock. I also must have a comfy chair, my beach towel, my sunglasses, a good book to read, my cooler packed with ice cold water, my flip flops, a pony tail holder, my comb, my lip gloss, and a sand pail & shovel.

Well it really depends on what kind of beach you will be on (hot area or cold area) But for me Im from Oregon state so that a colder area. I always would bring a blanket to lay on, and A bottle of water. Maybe a bucket to collect shells. and a camera.

A blanket, some beach snacks, a sun shade. a small pool raft, a surf fishing pole, a bucket & shovel, and the most important "item"- one Thinkerbelle ready to learn to swim (-;

It depends what beach here in north carolina you need bug spray.
In L.A. you need a sweat shirt.
