EXCITED!!! but also anxious because it will be so heart wrenching if Harry dies :( luckily i have stayed away from all of the spoilers so i will find out the ending in my own time.

Increasingly irritated with the press coverage. I get the whole fan thing, and can appreciate the excitement of young kids, however, it stinks of Disney's calculated sacchrine emotion. I really can't wait for this openly crass manipulation to be over so we can move on to the next openly crass manipulation.
I really don't like to be cynical, but the fact is that books need to stand the test of time.
The marketing devalues the book.
I'll buy my copy in paperback, and yes, there will be spoilers abounding, but that still won't take away from MY experience of READING the book.

RA, if you've never read the HP series, how do you know how much merit they have?? I have read both series, and the HP series is much more well written the Goosebumps!

in conjunction with that mentioned above, frankly, i am not a big harry potter fan. i am sure that there are many fans out there just holding themselves down until it is officially released.

im just waiting for starcraft 2 to come out.. in korea, starcraft 1 is still big..even comes out on normal tv. if you ever watch those pro-gamers in korea on tv, or sitting down in front of them, it is exciting. mainly, cause of the announcer.

I am a teacher and never read a Harry Potter novel nor seen a movie of it. I teach reading. There are a hundred other well written books. This hype reminds me of the Goose Bump Series. At least those books had merit.
