thats almost true i think itachi cant beat pein aka the akatsuki leader and the unknown member and also i dont think he could beat the fourth and uchiha madara and maybe pretty soon maybe sasuke as well

I wouldn't say EVERYONE, but he could probably beat most people. He wouldn't be able to beat the Fourth Hokage, and I'm pretty sure he couldn't beat the Leader. Also, he even admitted that he couldn't take Jiraiya on, even with Kisame's help. And although I like Itachi more than Sasuke, I must admit that Sasuke has a high chance of defeating Itachi, as Akatsuki admitted that his Sharingan would surpass his older brother's eventually. This doesn't mean he would, though. For now, I'd say that Itachi and Sasuke are 50/50.
You can't really consider the unnamed Akatsuki member to be stronger, as she is shown so little, that we don't even know what she's capable of. Maybe she's stronger than Itachi, but then again, maybe she's twice as weak-- it's unknown for now. As for people's claims of Itachi being weaker than Madara Uchiha, this is all just fan-based speculation-- Nothing is known about this Uchiha member but his name and the fact that he had evil chakra. In addition to this, there is no character in existence by the name of "Tengsu"-- just another Naruto myth. And if you don't believe me, read the actual manga, not that fan-made stuff like the ones that claim the Fourth is the Akatsuki leader. Anyways...
On the other hand, Itachi's Mangekyou Sharingan makes him practically unstoppable, but even without it, he is still very dangerous. If you remember Sasuke's flashback, Itachi can nail several targets dead center with kunai knives, even with his eyes closed. And if he kept up with training, who knows what he can do now? So even if he completely loses his vision, he would still be a serious threat to any opponent he faces.

this statement couldn't be more wrong, i mean itachi is strong but not invinceible. Firstly he couldn't beat jihrya, pein, the unamed member of akatsuki, madara, the fourth yet tospeak of tengsu; madaras dad who is the strongets in naruto and the up coming nijas naruto and sasuke.
there is also some one who is above the akatsuki who may be strong.
Although i say these ninjas are stronger tyan itachi hje is yet to be beaten and must be strong if he is to reach his goal ----------------------------------------spoiler------------------------------------------itachi's plan is to take the nine tails chakra and have 3 ms users so he can resurct tengsu madars dad, to do so he must betary akatsuki measning he must be exeedingly strong but know one is yet to see what he can really do becase of his withdrawn personality

not really true, depends what episode your on
there's no way he could beat some S class missing nin (maybe some fellow members of the Akatsuki), but it's really clear that he could beat everyone in Konoha. Everyone knows that. So far in Shippuuden, no one has "defeated" him yet, but you never know!

I'm thinking he probably can't beat the leader of Akatsuki. Considering his character, I doubt he'd willing follow the leader of Akatsuki if tt guy can't defeat him...

He can't. You seem to be forgetting some important people. And he depends too much on his Mangekyo when fighting people who are really powerful. He's losing it (his eyes). I wonder what'll happen then.

Nah, he's losing his grip. I would say Naruto, hence the title, would be able to beat him soon. maybe in his kyuubi mode.
