Well if he loves you then he should know you and understand it came out wrong but making up is really nice anyway, hope all turns out well.

If you didn't mean it then yes. Even if you did mean it but it came out sounding much worse yes. Apologise and talk through what you meant to say.

Absolutely. You should admit your mistake, explain the context of it and ask for forgiveness. We all put our foot in our mouth sometimes, but it takes a person of integrity to pull it out and apologize.
