Why wouldn't any team want one of the top players in MLB to return to their team? How many Cardinal fans would like to see Pujols come back? or how many Twins fans would like to see Santana come back? Every team is trying to win and they certainly want their best players on their team, what fan should have a problem with that?

Frizzer touched on each point I wanted to make. 2006 was the past, and also happened to be one of A-Rod's worst offensive years ever. Look at the year he's having now - 32 HR, 92 RBI and 85 runs all lead the American League. He's said multiple times during pre and post-game interviews that he felt he was finally fitting in with the team much like Derek Jeter had some time ago. All evidence points towards A-Rod staying - the media is just trying to build a story around the most paid athlete in MLB, because, well, what else do they have to discuss other than 10,000 losses and 755 HR's? Exactly, nothing.

Yes, there are some bandwagon Yankee fans who booed him last year and now cant stop chearing. But that is not the typical Yankee or baseball fan. Anyone who knows anything about the game of baseball wants Arod back. To suggest anything else is silly. He's one of the greatest baseball players in history. He and Jeter are one of the best left sides of an infield in history. You are not going to replace that. So real Yankee fans want Arod back. And they NEVER wanted him to leave.

Whether they'll admit it or not, all Yankee fans want him back. Not just for the obvious reasons of talent and proven production but because, in truth, they need the biggest of targets to aim their disappointments and frustrations towards. Jeter and Torre are inviolate and Steinbrenner can hardly be blamed for all the money he throws around. It's a miracle the Yankees have won so many pennants with all the negative vibes their fans give their team!

With his agent the only team that he will play on is the team that offers the most money.

NY Fans are fickle, do well and your applauded, start to slump and you are boooed. All athletes should not take NY fans seriously.

A-Rod stays in NY.

It doesnt matter. There is no way, no how, no chance that he plays for the Yankees ever again after this season.
