I suggest elevating your knee with ice pa ks to reduce swelling. Then finding a comfortable chair like a lazy boy, sit in it and watch movies all day! The one you always wanted to see but didn't get a chance to see. Have a bicycle horn at your side for when want something from the kitchen, sound the horn and someone will get it for you.

Reading a book is a good idea, it is an underused resource. Look up something on the internet the interests you that you would like to learn more about. Rent some video games or old movies. Check with your local library to see if they have any movies to borrow for free, you'd be suprised how many do. ; )
Oh, if you don't have a library card yet, make sure you take id and something with your current address on it.

I do understand what you are going through as I have had 6 operations on each of my knees and one of my knee caps removed.
I kept my leg straight and massaged my legs or elevated my legs while watching the TV or what ever. I also love computers if any of what I have said above works then all the best.

Read a book, have someone go to the library for you and check out some books, or get some magazines to read, learn how to knit.
