No, as it turns, out, I have never had one. My younger sister on the other hand basically has them weekly. I personally don't like the way they lokk, and hope I will never get one (knock on wood). Try some cream (like Abreva for example) or even a medication, but I don't know specifically what it's called. I'm sorry. I wish I could be a better help!

Drink cool liquids or suck frozen juice bars.
Apply an ice cube for 1 hour during the first 24 hours after a lesion appears. This may make it heal more quickly.
Apply a tea bag for five to ten minutes each hour at the start of the cold sores. The tannic acid in the tea has antiviral properties. This will prevent their further development.
Don't rub or scratch an infected eye.

They usually go away in a week or 7 days. When you first feel them coming on (the isolated burning sensation), apply Abreva, an over-the-counter medication. I get them when exposed to massive sun and windy conditions (typically on golfing trips to FL in winter). If the sun and wind generate them for you, apply lip balm to protect the lips.
I got them so bad one year, my mouth was virtually swollen shut and I had to go to the emergency room for treatment. 3 weeks later, I had a goatee and lost 10 pounds.

No never got one but know many that have. Try L-lysine you can get it from the vitamin counter in Walmart. take 4 a day until its gone then take one a day to keep them away.
