Usually it's just the sound of the phone hanging up on them.

Hello customer,
If you really get troubled by such calls then as an experienced customer like you can suggest you some ways to tackle rather avoid such calls:
(1)As soon as you come to know it is the call of a telemarketer just tell them wrong number and disconnect the call if you really want to save your time and enjoy your dinner.
(2) If the caller is still troubling you then just say,’ok I am really interested in your thing and I will call you tomorrow at this very time.’ And he will stop troubling you at least at that point of time.
(3) Third and the fastest way is as soon as you recognize that the caller is some telemarketer then you should directly disconnect the call.

1. I only take business calls between the hours of 9 and 5. All calls after that time, are considered personal calls. Seeing as you are no friend of mine, I am going to end his this call.

2. If that particular telemarketer has called you more than once:

- my lawyer considers persistent calls to be harassment.

The best line here is to ask the name of the company the telemarketer works for. They ring off so fast that your head spins as it's illegal here in Australia for telemarketers to call if your name is on a 'don't call' list with big fines for offending companies.

I got an email from a friend about how to prank a telemarketer, I did it. It was hilarious! She got so nervous. The prank is intended to make them nervous so they won't call your house again, ever. When the telemarketer called I pretended they called a crime scene, I didn't' t use the murder scene though, I used a burglary scene. Check out the site, it is funny. http://howtoprankatelemarketer.ytmnd.com/

I reverse the call--in other words when I find out that they are a "toll free" number or some # that I don't recognize, I pick the phone and say "I am sorry to keep you on hold today, could I interest you in that time share in such and such a place" Or "so you want to place an order for a dozen Chia pets" and that totally confuses them, then I tell them to please hold...and hang up---IT IS AMAZING I don't get many return phone calls from them!!!! LOL

OR My husband will answer the phone "Diggers Mortuary, you stab 'em we slab 'em" they usually hang up after that!!

I totally cut them off and start talking about my business and make like I'm the telemarketer! I basically turn the tables on them! They don't know what to do at that point! So they tell me they gotta go.

Click the phone twice and say
Your call and phone location has now been recorded and is being reported to the police along with a charge for harrassment. You might want to alert your attorneys.

Then hang up

God i HATE that!!! I start asking THEM all the questions, they're usually pretty quick to go after that. Or sorry, i'm in the middle of a sacrificial ceremony, would you mind calling back later? they never do. One time though, i said i had to go, they offered a few different times they could call back, and ended with "So which of those times suit you?" I said "none of them" and hung up.

My brother pretends he is in the bathroom and asks where the toilet paper is and then goes, ahhhh! Good! Okay so what did you want to talk about? Without fail they all hang up!
My sister asks if they have found salvation and click!
Yes, they are true masters!
