Great metaphor for Y!A...
My teacher doesn't do Internet or computer. I tried to convince him one time, that since we are building this illusionary world inside computer, it might be easier for young people to understand the illusionary world built by ego. Did he agree with me? - I told you he doesn't do Internet! :-)

That's absolutely incorrect since the community we live in is the world we live in. Therefore we all belong to the same place called the earth. It happened only that we are in different places but the commonality is there. We are here to laugh, fight, discuss, talk and praise each other as you have said.

Yahoo owns it and gets to make the decisions about how it should run. That's as it should be, seems to me.
They let users have input by deleting posts enough people find offensive.
Probably a time will come when every non-Christian post will have five complaints so's to narrow the focus here.
That's as it should be, because Yahoo made the rules, and Christians know how to use rules to their own advantage.
It just ain't a big deal. It's a microcosm of the real world.

I lost many good answers ... not due to muslims or christians...but due our own jealous hindu friend, a self-appointed Alpha Male of YA
YA is a very good example of Maya, the illusion. We are born here with an ID, give an ego to this ID... fight with other IDs...love with other IDs without knowing the person behind them... we make friends and foes for points, which are not used anywhere outside this Maya...
I think if we look carefully and study YA, we can have an idea of Maya in the world.
( and this qn was in my list...and u asked it...telepathy?? LOL)

Yes, the same applies to the whole world.....
You build up expectations, it's deemed to be crushed.
You develop a desire, it's designed to be unfulfilled.
You crave for something, it's destined to be denied.
Remember what Sri Krishna advises to Arjuna in Srimad Bhagwad Gita -
Karmanyevadhikaaraste Maa Phaleshu Kadachana...!
Maa Karmaphalaheturbhuh Maa Te Sangoastvakarmani...!!

If, by "this community", you are referring to Y!A then of course we belong to it. We all subscribe to it, we all have registered to be a part of it, and we have all made up stupid avatar names. If we were not a part of it, then it wouldn't exist, would it?
So I disagree with your opening premise and therefore it does not imply that it is the same for the world.

You have to adjust with people. Even if you are right, still, you may have to compromise with those that do not know. You have to live anyway. How many in the world are seriously interested in Truth?
