What is the Floodline number? I've tried 0845 988 1188 and it's not recognized. It's constantly raining, water trying to get in...What should I pack if we are evacuated? Please help? I'm in the UK.

i managed to find this number.. Environment Agency Floodline on 0845 988 1188 but its the same as what uve got so ive no idea why its not working. I also found this advice....
In the case of flooding:

Collect together an emergency pack of:
torch
radio with batteries
candles
matches
bottled water
perhaps a camping gas cooker ring.

Protect doorways and low level air vents with sandbags or rubbish bags filled with earth.

Turn off gas and electricity.

Move as much as you can, including food, upstairs.

If you are trapped by flooding, remain near a window to attract attention.

Call Floodline at the environment agency on 0845 988 1188 for warnings and information.

Check on your neighbours, particularly those who are elderly or infirm.
hope this is of some help

0845 988 1188 is the only number listed. I guess you are dialing it wrong or it is too busy.

where in the uk? id phone the local council and get the number from them.

try to get all things off the floor where its flooding and put up away so the rain doesnt rot them.

unfortunately the rain will be like this for another week or so so id start to pack things away such as essensials and see if anyone would be able to put you up for a bit- get prepared!! also, make sure you have home insurance just incase anythign happens to anything and you can get it all back

O hun - you poor thing! You no, this is the only time I'm so glad I'm living where I am!! I live on an estate where violence and vandalism are prevalent but because its high up we dont even have the slightest chance of flooding. But I really feel for all you lovely people out there who have this problem right now. It must be soul-destroying. I wish everyone in this situation luck and love and hope theres a let-up in this godam weather soon. xxx

Pack all of your important papers first and anything that is sentimental (like photographs). Anything else can be replaced.

Any medication you are currently taking. In flood situations, it may be awhile before you can get to a pharmacy.

And the usual, changes of clothing, cellphone, anything else you think you might need.

I am praying for you sweetheart! Be careful and take care.

see my answer to your previous question. some good answers from lots of people on there.

it will be virtually impossible to get through to flloodline now.
try your local councils web-site they should have an advice line.

my advice - get as much as possible upstairs, if its dowstairs get it off the floor. get your insurance documents, personal papers, mobile phone and charger (and your cat if you can) lock the doors and get out of there.

good luck hun, been there and its not nice :-( x

Do you have a boat? You may have to get on your roof and blow a whistle, set off a flare, or if nothing else light a fart.
