I am looking to by my other half a Wii for his birthday & I want to buy something that comes with all that it needs. I have seen a few in the shops but there seem to be different kinds & obviously the prices change so I need a little help to make sure I buy what's wanted for the boy in my man.

To have the perfect Wii experience that can be enjoyed by 2 people, your essentials are the Wii itself, which is $249.99; an extra Wii Remote controller, $39.99; a Nunchuck controller, $19.99; and some games of your liking, around $49.99 each. The Wii already has a Remote and Nunchuck packed inside with a copy of Wii Sports. That's pretty much all that is necessary right off the bat. With one game, that is roughly $359.96 before tax is considered.
So, when your out there shopping, make note of what the different kinds of Wii's have to offer, and remember what is essential right off the bat and it's cost. Each Wii system is identical, but if you run across a Wii bundlepack with an extra Remote, Nunchuck, and one game, then that is the perfect one to get. But don't get it if it cost's more then $359.96.
On a few side notes, if you have broadband internet connection and you would like to get your Wii online, a really good thing to buy is the Nintendo WIFI adapter if you havn't got a Wireless Router already. If you have a Wireless router, and you successfully connect the Wii online with it, do NOT buy a Nintendo WIFI adapter. That would be a waste of money. What you can buy is a Wii points card for $20 each. You will be able to connect to the Wii Shopping Channel via internet and use those points to download the older games from older videogame systems.
If your planning to play classic games, you will need to get a classic controller. Two of them since you will probably be playing the Wii with your other half. They run for $19.99 each.
Thats pretty much everything. If I may make a suggestion, I reccomend The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess and Super Paper Mario, as they are 2 of the Wii's best games.

Theres only one Wii system as standard.. Includes Consol, one nunchuck, one controller and Wii sports.
You need to buy an additional controller ( get one with wii play included), an additional nunchuck - a must for 2 player boxing and Mario Football.
The best games out are Mario Strikers Charged, Resident Evil 4, Zelda, Mama Cooking
