I have shaved my pubic region for a while now, and recently let the hair grow back out. But now it's thicker, and I know it's 'cuz I shaved, so I was wondering: if I waxed it now, would the hair still grow out thick, or would it go back to the original growth? I may seem daft for asking, but I didn't know, so...

it is just true that you're hair at the pubic region would grow thicker if you shaved it. if you want to wax it, be sure that you are ready. if you would wax it, it would grow to its natural growth not like the one when you shave it because the hair that you remove if you wax will come from its roots.. and that's why you feel pain when a strand of your hair is removed. why would you want to remove the hair from the pubic region. mine, i have a thick hair down there but i never in my mind instilled that i would cut them out or have wax on it... email me at dorienayy@yahoo.com so thaT i would know much of your answers.

Some guys start shaving because they don't like the physical changes of puberty. Then they decide to accept adulthood a couple of years later (at 16 or so) and are surprised that the hair is a lot thicker. That's because of a more advanced stage of puberty, not shaving. Shaving can make the hair look thicker temporarily as it grows out, as each hair has a blunt cut. As the tips wear down to a natural taper, it will look exactly the same as if you had never shaved it. But not necessarily the way it did when you started shaving, because you are older now.

Congratulations on making the choice to stop shaving. You will look better and have healthier skin...and being an adult isn't THAT bad!

Not an unusual question. After shaving it will appear to grow back straighter and thicker at least at first. It isn't really. You should let it grow out for several months then do any trimming you feel is necessary but don't get carried away. You may find that the hairs grows back longer but trimming not shaving is the best thing to do if you want a more natural look. It's more masculine and a whole less less trouble. A hairless dick looks like a little kid. Do not put any chemical hair removal product on your private area, It is not recomended for good reason.

It will still grow back thicker. i don't believe its an "old wives tale" that it grows back thicker. I think you can ask anyone who shaves anywhere and the results are the same. I have the same problem you do. I almost wish I had never started shaving it. I'd like to stop now but it looks so terrible I have a hard time just leaving it

It is an old wives tale that shaving makes it thicker. You do not say how old you are so maybe you are quite young.Allow it to grow as nature intended. If you feel that it is too bushy it is alright to trim/shave or just leave alone. I would not use any chemicals as sometimes the can irritate

Sure you can stop shaving, you are in a very small small minority of guys who do shave, most of us guys who are not into weirdness don't shave our natural pubic hair, maybe trim it if it gets unruly. Shaved pubes makes guys look like 10 year olds.

It's NOT thicker! It's looks that way because you aren't used to looking at it. Waxing is PAINFUL! Just continue to shave, you will be fine.

If you want to keep that well groomed look, try plucking the little buggers with a good pair of tweezers. It take a little time, but the results are long lasting and easy to maintain. Women appreciate a nicely manscaped package. Very few people like to floss with pubes!!
