Do you think you are smarter or dumber as your grow up?

i was very active and out going before but now i dont talk and think alot and i feel im not as smart as before :(

I don't feel smarter but I do feel wiser. We learn a lot from experiences as we go through life which makes us wiser. But as far as smarter, I would worry about being able to make good grades in college like I did when I went years ago if I went back. "UIse it or lose it" makes sense on some things.

I don't really think it is a matter of age but, more likely, experience. You think more about it because, as you get older, you experience more things, good and bad, that you can reflect on when different situations pop up. You have no frame of reference when you are younger and about to do something really stupid for the first time. You just jump in. You realize what might happen if you just "jump in" as you grow older so you are more cautious about it and try to think things through first.

I acutally think you get dumber....My aunt is almost 50 and she's a teacher and spells Ugly with an E...I think when you're older you just forgot alot of things that you used to know like common sense. Its really common...

Smarter, wiser, more ability to control your emotions, stronger, better than before.. You think twice before doing anything, and you take less risks.

I've learned a lot, I know that, but when I look back at diaries from when I was much younger I see I am still the exact same person. It's cool, kind of weird but I am who I am.
