while you're using an unsecured connection, submit to in suggestions: that's unsecured. everyone could be related to it and all the different computers related. they are able to finding out that somebody else is using it. they are in a position to be sure what web content you have been to. yet maximum those that do not know a thank you to shelter their prompt is fairly not waiting to tell any of those issues. there is not any alarm that screams out "Your neighbor is finding at porn on your unsecured prompt connection!" So do not difficulty. yet you do would desire to rigidity approximately somebody it incredibly is basically finding for unsecured cyber web connections so as that they are in a position to get to the computers related to them. that's not so undemanding anymore using fact there are lots of of. In my neighbor hood, I even have 6 unsecured with surprising sign capability. and that i will admit I did use them until eventually my very own connection replace into put in while we moved in. yet you should make confident your laptop is shelter previously using an unsecured prompt connection.

It depends. I think it is if its the odd one off and if they don't have a low bandwidth limit.
If they have a low bandwidth limit, then you shouldn't.

If its someone you know, then I guess its ok, as its like borrowing a garden tool really except a little more technical.

As for anybodys unsecure wireless connection... morally, probably not. If its not secure, then the chances are they probably wont miss 100mbs of their bandwidth.

Its probably still illegal to do it though.

It's immoral unless they've explicitly said that it's available for your use.

It's also illegal.

The police have just arrested someone who was sitting in his car (in the UK) 'surfing' on an unsecured wifi. He's been charged with theft of the resources he was using rather than a traffic offence, so the police consider it illegal enough to be worth pursuing.

Duh.... Of course it is illegal!!! I'm only 15 and even I know that. Of course, I'm in Malaysia where there are no laws for using an unsecure wireless connection. Hehe... I once drove around KL with my uncle and got more thn 400 unsecure wireless connections. If you're using your school or campus internet WiFi, then it is okay.

Most places it's not just immoral, it's illegal.

Wireless LAN is by definition a computer network.

Is it morally right or legal, for me to come into your home and take things, if you were to leave the door unlocked?

It is illagal to use this connection unless they have let you do so. I know it is difficult to catch the people who do this but it is unfair as you maybe ripping off ypu nieghbours who knows they may have a maximum useage of 5 hours a day and you may be depriving them of it.
